Electric Mountain


Electric Mountain is the largest pumped storage hydro-electric power station in Europe. This marvel of human engineering is situated within the Elidir Mountain and provides the perfect opportunity to lose yourself in the science behind the fascinating eco generators.


The underground tour is not to be missed, and their signature indoor play area known as The Den will keep younger members of your family entertained whilst you explore, or even stop at the cafe for a snack. 

Birds of Snowdonia

Harlech Castle


Harlech Castle (Cadw) marks the coast surrounding Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park by overlooking the sheer cliff face beside it. Mounted amongst the Welsh peaks, this World Heritage Site boasts magnificent views and a rich history from the design of crafty castle defences to holding its ground during battle.


You may now enter the castle via a ‘floating footbridge’ as was originally intended. For a stunning family day out, visit Harlech Castle and the surrounding town and landscape.

The visitor centre is open seven days a week and marks the start of one of mountain bikers’ top destinations. Here you can explore leisurely trails or develop your skills, whether you’re a novice or expert in the sport. 

National White Water Centre

Aber Falls 


If you’re looking for a serene walk in the depths of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park then look no further than Aber Falls Path.


Starting on a single track in Abergwyngregyn village, this 2 mile walk allows you to submerge yourself in the breathtaking beauty of the Welsh countryside and takes you to the Aber Falls waterfall in the foothills of the Carneddau mountains. If you’re travelling without children, make sure to check out the Aber Falls Distillery along the way.
